A Little More About Competitive Soccer... Players participating in competitive soccer try out and are placed on teams in their age group according to their individual skill level. Our competitive teams are coached by trained and licensed Westerly coaches. Players on our competitive teams receive a level of training focusing on building both individual and team skills. We recognize and encourage the growth and development of the "whole" player. Building solid skills, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude are key components to this competitive program. During the 8 game season the players have the positive experience of welcoming competitive teams from other towns to our home field as well as being hosted in neighboring towns.
